Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes- These are due on Sunday Nov 13. This is also the day we will be doing our annual packing party. After church we will do a simple sandwiches and sweets potluck and start packing shoeboxes. Please invite your friends to join us and we hope as many as possible can stay and help. Shoeboxes are available at the welcome center and we encourage you to fill a box or two or bring in some items to contribute to our packing party. The shipping is still $7 so remember to include that. If you prefer to donate money to either items for the boxes or shipping, please see Shelley as she is shopping for items on a regular basis. Summer is a great time to shop for balls, especially soccer (not inflated) and a pump to inflate, t-shirts (plain colored is best, no words), summer toys, flipflops, etc. Feel free to bring in anything you buy and drop them at the Welcome center.

Attention: Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes....don’t forget to pick up things for the boxes when you see something on sale or an item that would be a good idea to add in. There are many items that are only available at certain times of the year. You can drop off your items at the welcome center and we will put them away until November. Our goal for the year is 75 boxes!

ATTENTION: The committee collecting items for the two Syrian refugee families coming to Summerside in the near future are looking for household items such as snow shovels/scoops; rakes; household tools ( i.e. hammers, screwdrivers, scissors, etc.) and household items ( i.e. waste baskets, brooms, mops, scrub buckets, etc.). Play and art items for children also needed for boys aged 5 and 9 and girls aged 3 and 15. If anyone has items to donate please contact Carol Ann Newson at 902-436-9816.
Thank You: We would like to thank the members of the Christian Church Women’s Fellowship for your donation of items for the “Thinking of You” program for patients at Prince County Hospital. Your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated. From Prince County Hospital Volunteer Services.
ATTENTION: The children’s church teachers are looking for assistants/helpers each week. There has been anywhere between 7-12 kids on a regular basis and it’s a bit busy for one person. You wouldn’t have to plan or teach anything; simply help with a craft, game and just general help. There will be a sign up sheet on the welcome center table.
